Smart Card/Token Solutions for Transit

Aconite provides cost-effective solutions that enable Transit operators to issue and manage smart cards/tokens for ticketing. Optionally, a payments applications, including prepaid and pre-authorised accounts, and other functions may be added to the card. We can provide a complete solution for your smart card/token needs or point solutions for specific functions within your environment.

Aconite’s core transit ticketing solution is based on our Affina Enterprise product. Aconite’s Affina Enterprise facilitates personalisation of smart card, mobile phones and other smart tokens for ticketing and payment applications. Affina Enterprise can:

• import card/token data from other systems;.
• undertake data preparation for chip and application personalisation;
• manage the complete life-cycle of the card/token, keeping track of the personalisation data, the versions and parameters of applications and chip details etc.;
• manage multiple applications on a phone, which can be from different organisations such as banks;
• facilitate post-issuance updates to or deletion of existing applications or the download of new applications.

The core transit ticketing solution can be extended to provide a prepaid/pre-authorised payment facility by adding our PrePaid Value Manager, which provides the ability to manage prepaid (stored value) and pre-authorised accounts.
