Aconite’s Contactless Payment Solutions

Aconite provides cost-effective solutions that enable banks and retailers to provide smart card/token based contactless payments applications, which can include prepaid and pre-authorised accounts, to their customers. Our Contactless Payments solution is designed to manage multiple applications from different organisations, enabling you to leverage your investment by making many other services available, potentially in partnership with other organisations.

Our solutions have minimal impact on your existing systems. Allied with the experience and expertise of our consultants, our proven solutions provide a number of key benefits:

• low risk, given Aconite’s experience and expertise in implementing smart card solutions;
• fast implementation, based on the use of proven software and expert support; and
• lower cost, resulting from the reduction in risk and implementation timescale.

Aconite’s core Contactless Payment solution is based on our Affina Enterprise product. Aconite’s Affina Enterprise facilitates “personalisation of smart cards/tokens with contactless payment applications and subsequent updating of applications. Affina Enterprise can:

• import card/token data from other systems;
• undertake data preparation for chip and application personalisation;
• manage the complete life-cycle of the card/token, keeping track of the personalisation data, the versions and parameters of applications and chip details etc.;
• manage multiple applications on a chip, which can be from different organisations; and
• facilitate post-issuance updates to or deletion of existing applications or the download of new applications.

The core Contactless solution can be extended to provide a prepaid/pre-authorised payment facility by adding our PrePaid Value Manager, which provides the ability to manage prepaid (stored-value) and pre-authorised accounts for contactless payments applications on smart cards/tokens.
