Aconite wins EPCA/ECR excellence in payments award
London, 5th April 2006
LONDON: Tuesday 5th April 2006: Aconite Technology has won a gold award for 'Most innovative and advanced payments software/hardware product launched in 2005' at the EPCA/ECR Excellence in Payments Innovation Awards.
The award ceremony, held yesterday on Tuesday 4th April at the Hilton Hotel, Amsterdam, saw Aconite presented with the award by Jen Lindboe-Larsen, Chairman of the European Payments Consulting Association.
Aconite's award-winning EMV Script Processor, designed to enable banks to securely manage offline risk, was evaluated by a committee formed of member companies of the EPCA. The product was assessed on the strength of its proposition, innovation, design, features, efficiency, customer service, competitiveness, ease of installation and use, training and marketing.
EMV Script Processor was devised to meet customer needs for simple, consolidated EMV processes and back-end solutions to streamline and improve dynamic card control. Initially conceived in 2001 when EMV migration was gathering pace, the product underwent extensive development before being deployed live with Transaction Network Systems in the UK. It will soon go live at Leumi Card, the credit card arm of Bank Leumi in Israel and at First Data International's EMEA processing centre in Basildon.
Mike Woods, CEO of Aconite Technology said, "We thank Jen Lindboe-Larsen and those at the EPCA and ECR who voted for us. Recognition from a major industry body such as the European Payments Consulting Association is indicative of how our EMV innovation is driving our business success."
Mike Woods adds, "The presentation of this accolade is a great honour, but it stems from Aconite's unflinching commitment to customer satisfaction, and our determination to cement our position as an industry leader in the field of EMV software solutions."
