Aconite's leading EMV solution awarded second 2006 acclaim
London, 12th June 2006
Aconite, a leading provider of smart card payment solutions, is pleased to announce the second accolade this year for its market-leading EMV scripting solution. Aconite's EMV Script Processor was this month awarded with a highly commended in the category of 'Innovation of the year' at The Banker Technology Awards.
This prestigious award is further evidence of the banking industry's endorsement of Aconite's award-winning solution. It builds on the recent success at the EPCA/ECR Excellence in Payments Innovation Awards in April where Aconite won a Gold Award for 'Most innovative & advanced payments software product'.
Aconite's dual award-winning EMV Script Processor solution was designed to integrate easily with existing host systems, allowing the generation, management and delivery of scripts to update cards dynamically after issue and securely manage offline risk. Combined with Aconite's EMV Transaction Enabler solution, it provides banks with a fast track route to EMV migration.
Initially conceived in 2001 when EMV migration was gathering pace, the product underwent extensive development before being deployed live with Transaction Network Systems in the UK. More recent implementations include integration with the VisionPlus card platform both at Leumi Card in Israel and at First Data International's Basildon processing centre.
Mike Woods, CEO of Aconite said, "We thank everyone on the panel for voting for our EMV Script Processor solution. The Banker is a widely-esteemed publication and we are privileged to be part of their award winning category."
Mike adds, advanced scripting provided through ESP is fast becoming central to many issuers' card strategies. It delivers significant competitive advantage by reducing the cost of referrals, collections and write-offs, ensuring that optimum use is made of credit lines and ultimately using the enhanced control of risk to extend card issuance to previously off-limits applicants.
