Management Team

Mike Woods - CEO & Founder

Mike Woods is the CEO and founder of Aconite. He has twenty years of experience in the Banking and Retail industry, with positions that include Programme Director of European Monetary Union (EMU) for NatWest Bank and Director of e-Commerce & e-Banking for Royal Bank of Scotland. Aconite's clients benefit from Mike's expertise on banking change initiatives and his ability to deliver significant business benefits to them.

Rob Macmillan - Director of Operations

Rob Macmillan is highly experienced in banking systems and e-Trust and Security. His previous positions have included Programme Manager for a major UK Corporate Bank, leading the development of a corporate e-banking service and Identrus certificate repository system. Rob’s background at PwC together with project management skills and 16 years experience in the industry help to ensure clients needs and expectations are met.

Patrick Regester - EVP Sales & Marketing

Patrick has 20 years experience in international sales and operational management in the software industry. His career includes senior positions at Uniplex, Secure Computing Corp. and I-Logix, where he was a member of the executive team which successfully sold the company to Telelogic AB in March 2006. Prior to joining Aconite, Patrick was VP of International Operations of the I-Logix division of Telelogic, with responsibility for all subsidiaries in Europe and Asia.

David Jacks - Finance Director

David joined Aconite in 2003. Prior to joining Aconite, David was the Financial Controller for Spherion UK, a leading recruitment company. David also served as Financial Controller for Sega Europe and Warner Music. David brings more than 20 years of experience to Aconite. He is a Big Four qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc degree in Economics from Leicester University.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson founded Elderstreet Investments Limited in 1990 and is its executive chairman. For the past 25 years, he has specialised in raising finance and investing in the smaller companies sector. Michael is currently chairman of PartyGaming plc and until August 2006 was chairman of FTSE100 company, The Sage Group plc. Other former directorships include Computer Software Group plc and Planit Holding.

Tony Shaw

Tony Shaw brings a wealth of industry experience to the Company, drawing on his previous role as CEO of NatWest Corporate Bank and is a major figure in the UK Financial Services and Banking industry. Having been responsible for over 10,000 staff, providing services and advice to FTSE 250 companies, Tony is in an ideal position to advise Aconite on business strategy and company growth. In addition, Tony brings a wide range of UK and international business contacts.

Mike Schnaus

Mike Schnaus is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Datacard Corporation and has been with the company for 11 years, holding various senior management positions. With over 25 years of Corporate Development experience in total, gained with both public and private corporations in a wide range of industries, Mike focuses primarily on international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic initiatives. As well as helping Aconite to realise the full benefit of our relationship with Datacard, Mike brings his considerable Corporate Development know-how to bear in assisting Aconite to execute its strategic growth plans.

Richard Launder

Richard joined Aconite from ACI Worldwide where his last position was President of Global Operations. During his 20 year tenure at ACI Worldwide, as Managing Director responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Richard helped to grow revenues from a couple of million dollars to over 150 million dollars annually. Richard brings to Aconite a great store of knowledge and know-how relating to delivering high quality, market-leading software and services to the global marketplace, as well as numerous business contacts in the financial and software industries. Consequently, Richard is eminently well qualified to help guide Aconite in growing its global business and meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations.
